We made a stop in Pukekura in the morning at a Bushman's centre to learn about the country's history of deer hunting, relocation and farming. Following the coast, we stopped in Hokitika, which is the country's greenstone centre. Took a look at one of the shops and then grabbed lunch in town. Arriving early at camp in Punakaiki, we had the afternoon to relax and check out the pancake rocks on the coast. We tried to have our last campfire, but eventually some large waves swept our fire away. Despite fire resurrection efforts and some hilarious moments, more waves put an end to the last campfire on the trip.
