The last night in Barcelona was insane...after a crazy night amidst the discos, we woke up and had one last meal near the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, bought a couple postcards, then took the metro, train and bus to Girona.
Okay...so I officially cannot feel my feet, but besides that... life in the traveling lane has been SUPERB. Leaving Barcelona was sad, yet exciting. We took a day to travel to Girona which is a neighboring city with a small airport which we flew out of to get to Rome. The day started by metro in Barcelona, then train , then a bus! It was super funny because while on the train I had fallen asleep and did one of those things were you fall asleep then feel like you are falling off of a cliff and jolt back awake...apparently it was hilarious for Geneva, Jaimie and Brian...ha ha ha, and for me as well. The train ride to Girona was hot, smelled like pee, and took about an hour. I had no idea what to expect going to this very small town outside of Barcelona...BUT...let me tell you after we had checked into the hotel Geneva, Jaimie and I made our way back to the downtown part of Girona where I absolutely fell in LOVE with this town. They have more shoe stores than I even knew what to do with myself, and the small cobblestone streets are something directly out of a movie. Now...if you know me well...you know that I am obsessed with shoes, so as we made our way to this GORGEOUS Girona cathedral, Geneva and I stopped in almost every shoe store along the way...although we didn't make any purchases. We finally made our way to the cathedral and snuck inside were there was a private service in Spanish, very eerie yet intriguing. We had made it up to the cathedral right at sunset and it was one of the most beautiful sights I had ever seen. Around this cathedral there was also a secret garden *Mom you would have LOVE it!!!*....after visiting the cathedral we tripped around the cobble stoned streets and visited the countless wedding dress stores....kinda random BUT honestly they are gorgeous. I honestly cant describe how gorgeous this little town is.... its RAD. It has a small river that flows between it with beautiful little bridges going across...very romantic!!!! We walked for a couple hours then had dinner outside amidst the hustle and bustle...THE BEST SANGRIA I have had since my drinking has career begun...lol. Kidding. But honestly it was an absolutely amazing little dinner...you are probably sick of me raving about this crazy little town but I honestly just really liked it!!! Ha ha. After dinner we tried to find our way back to the last bus at 10pm....in time I was navigating and ran into a small pole about a foot and a half tall which knocked the crap out of my KNEE!!!! Ahhhh it hurt super bad....but I am alive and kickn don't worry!!! Made it back to the hotel right near Girona airport and zonked out due to the lack of sleep from the sheer Barcelona shenanigans.
Woke up early to catch our flight with Ryanair....Geneva and Jaimie had to pay a pretty penny for their bags being *overweight*...yet mine was half a kilo under their limit so I was in the CLEAR!!!! Now now now.......the flight to ROME on Ryanair was interesting and fun all at the same time....my frickin ears wouldn't pop so I was hurting...but ROME PEOPLE is AMAZING...AMAZING, GORGEOUS, PHENOMENAL....the history that I got today was probably more than I ever learned throughout my whole 8 years of highschool and college!!! That will be the next blog....
ALL my LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
