Day three. Our first non-air boarder crossing. And they didn't even stamp our passports! Maybe we'll get a Canada stamp when we go to Victoria in April. But what we lost in passport stampage, we gained in incredible views of the falls. The Canadian side is directly faces both sets of falls. Plus you have the Journey Behind the Falls. Very similar to the Cave of the Winds, JBTF takes you to the bottom of the falls. In addition a tunnel has been cut behind the falls and open air port holes let you see the massive amounts of water falling from behind. Our tour guide also told us that we just missed David Carradine by about ten minutes. If only we hadn't stopped at the gift shop before going down...

We came back up walked around the falls for a little while longer and then headed for the car. We had been eying the Skylon for a while. It appeared to give a good vantage point. We were hoping for some good food also. So we headed that way. Pulling into down town Niagara was quite surreal. Talk about a tourist trap. It was like Pigeon Forge on steroids. But we finally made our way through the crowds and over to the Skylon.

We arrived about four o'clock. Lucky for us they have an early bird special from four to five thirty. Because others wise it is expensive. Honestly the special was expensive also. Thirty-five bucks per person. And the taxes! Let's just say that free health care isn't free. But the price did include salad, main course, and dessert. They were also nice enough to through in a free cheesecake when they found out that we were having our anniversary. In true Canadian style the cheesecake was garnished with maple syrup. Sounds odd, but it was tasty. The restaurant rotates and we made two passes by the falls while we were eating.

Unfortunately we didn't know that they do a fireworks display every night. So we missed out on that treat. We slipped back across the boarder and hung out at the Marriott for the rest of the night.
