A lot of running around the first few days for the wedding. Traffic around LA is horrible. Especially when you have to go from Santa Monica to Buene Park to Newport Beach. But once things settled down we were able to get in a few days of relaxation. The hotel was very close to the beach. We had a room with an ocean view but it was partially obstructed by an apartment building. Still nice, and it had a really big patio. Probably a 15 minute walk to the pier and 20 to the 3rd street promenade.
