Today went well with time to roam this cities' quaint old town. We climbed a tower on the ancient wall and mingled with people speaking scores of diffent languages. We followed Rick Steves' walking tour and enjoyed the most reasonable prices for everything from the hotel room and meals to beer and wine.

We had a 6:30 flight to Oslo but soon we reached our second major trip snag...our plane has a "technical" problem so we had an unexpected four-hour delay. We had hoped to see some of Oslo after our flight but by the time we got there and then dealt with the closure of their main train station for upgrading we didn't get to our hotel until midnight.

Then for the first time in the trip, the hotel messed up our reservation even though we called to say we were going to be late. They found us rooms, but not on the great side. They made up for it the next day by giving us a premium room overlooking the Opera House and harbor.
