Hey guys,
So we actually got our jobs back a week ago today (three days after we were fired) and we had our 4 days in Edmonton this weekend. We just got back and now I actually have time to write. It's been a busy week. We drove back to Fort McMurray last weekend and started work Monday morning. There's still not a lot of work to be done but we're earning money so I'm happy.
We had a minor incident with our car...it overheated on us and we had to stop on the side of the road and get help. Turns out that the line we saw on the side of the Radiator's overflow was not the level of coolant, but a stain. It was bone dry and so, understandably, we overheated. We've had a few minor set-backs with that but for the time being, the car is working fine again.
This past weekend we went to Edmonton, Calgary and Banff. Friday we went to the waterpark at the West Edmonton Mall and got in cheap because people were selling tickets at $20 each and the rest of us got a 'family' pass so it was about the same amount. Saturday morning we drove down to Calgary where we went to Elbow Falls and went cliff jumping. It was really fun and the only injury was minor...Sierra popped blood vessels in her foot and needs to keep off of it for 2 days so she won't be going back to work until Thursday.
After cliff jumping, we were feeling spontanious, so we headed off to Banff to visit the Hot Springs there.
We stayed until it closed at 11pm and then half of us stayed in Calgary while 4 of us went back to Edmonton. We got back around 2:30am. That was the first time I'd been to Banff and I've seen enough that makes me want to go back.
The rest of the weekend was kind of quiet (other than Jordan getting in a car accident on the way back from Calgary. He's fine, but the car isn't). As you can see, a very busy week and hopefully things will quiet down this week. That's all for now folks!

Back to Work
Glad to hear you weren't off work too long and had an opportunity to have some fun and tour the sights. Sounds like all of you have had enough of the unexpected 'kinks' in your travels this summer, so let's home there aren't anymore unwelcomed ones! Now that you're back at work, pay special attention to safety and don't get hurt again! Looking forward to your next entry. Be careful, be safe, and enjoy.
