We were up and trying to pack 4 peoples clothes into the one suitcase.  We were off to Orcas Island for the wedding this afternoon and didn't want to pack all our gear.  The place we were staying at said we could leave all our other gear there as they weren't renting it out to anyone before we came back.  Trying to think what clothes we might need was hard.

We went into town and got a present for Ashton as we are celebrating his birthday on the Monday as the day of his birthday people are travelling everywhere.  We were then off to drive 1 1/2 hours to the ferry.  The drive was thru lovely farming country.  We spotted some other wedding people and knew we were going the right way.  By the time we stopped at the ferry there were alot of us.  We all stood around the cars and talked.  We all had to be in our vehicles to drive onto the ferry and then we had to try and get out between the cars and go upstairs.  It was a lovely warm day and the hour trip over to the island was gorgeous.  The islands were great.  Apparently there are around 100 islands in the area.  The ferry stopped a couple of times before it got to our stop.  The hotel is right across the road from the ferry.  We were all trying to check in at the same time so I took the kids out the front and they had 2 little rabbits eating the grass.  Both kids got right up close to them before they moved.  We had a bit of a look around and can now understand why Matt & Linda wanted to get married here.  We found something to have for tea and then drove around the other side of the island to see the sunset.  We could see a few of the islands.  The kids went to bed really well and slept all night.
