Took me a goal and a year to save up for my Philippines trip.  Meeting my girlfriend first time face to face was very exciting and amazing feeling.  I left Iowa to board my plane in Minneapolis MSP airport after family dropping me off.  The flight was 25hours long.  The ride was terrific and easy to get around was nervous but did just fine, with the visa close by and never out of site.  I landed in Manila, Philippines the 25th of September 2011 at 1030am.  Everything went smoothly up until being approached at the exit by security wondering about my trip and people wanting to help me with bags and where I was going even though I already knew.  Keep a very sharp eye when out of the Manila airport.  After giving 20$ each to 4 people and one guy still wanting more needed to ignore him.  I finally exited the airport and saw her for the 1st time in real away from the net life.  She was so amazing and beautiful and welcomed me with open arms.  Taxi waiting for us that she took it was so hot and was sweaty and being in clothes for 2days was tired.  All I could think about was how beautiful she was!  Very exciting taxi ride to our place in Mandaluyong City, Philippines.  My eyes traveling everywhere seeing everything and her at the same time.  What an amazing feeling it was.  At our place now in Mandaluyong, condo 42floors high.  We at the top with an amazing view.  Its only the 6th of Oct. now.  Just 11days now and settled in I feel so welcomed and comfy in this fast paced city.  I will be here until the 20th of Jan 2012.  Already been to malls and Manila Bay on a cruise with my girlfriend.  Riding Jeepneys and in Taxi.  Riding on tricycles with attached seats.  Riding the bus, it is not hard at all to find transportation here in the Philippines.  It is a very English friendly country.  I not have to use Tagalog at all yet.  I am easy distance if want to walk to Malls.  Easy to hook up to wifi anywhere in malls to connect with family.  The Philippines is beautiful and loving it so far!
