Crazy night out with the Welsh

There are ten students from Wales studying with us during March. I have a class with about six of them, and have become great friends with Nicola, Claire, Rodric, and Sally. We went out Saturday night with the intention of making it to the clubs, which do not open until 1-2AM.The night ended up being one of the craziest thus far. We started with some wine in their lounge, and then headed out...(the pictures are from the dorms.) Trying to keep up with the girls resulted in my getting a little out of control.....good times were had by all. After the bars closed at 2, we did indeed head to the clubs, and danced until 5AM.
At the club, I met some Dutch people leaning against the wall, analyzing the group of us dancing. They had decided that there were definatly americans in the group but they knew that not everyone was American. It is funny to see the difference in dancing styles between cultures, especially when a lot of the music is techno, no one really knows how to dance. My goal was to get the three of them to dance before the night was over and I am very proud to say I did. I knew if I could get the girl, Annalus, to give in, the two guys would inevitably follow. They all ended up dancing and having a great time. One of the guys tried to teach me a traditional dutch dance,it was awesome but a little shaky. Luckily i was wearing a long flowy skirt so it looked like my feet were doing something at least. All in all a great night! Though the next morning was not so bright and cheery........
I have picked up some new welsh/british slang. I love to call everyone a bloody wanker, and I have been told I have a very good posh London accent. I did a little country twang and boy was it a hit! "I reckon them Welsh, they sure do like to hear that country twang."
