Today was our first group/field trip. AHH! Forty people is ALOT to travel anywhere with. And if it weren't for the night before I would have appreciated Brussels much more. We went to the EU parliment, which has its seat in Brussels. Unfortunatly the tour was quite disappointing, we sat and listened to a powerpoint presentation from a man that I could not hear, and then he showed us one on the rooms that deliberations take place in sometimes. Honestly not a whole lot to say about the EU parliment, the experience was not very beneficial to my understanding of the EU. BUT.... Brussels has a beautiful main square and very cute little boy taking an eternal pee pee (mannekin pis...is his name.) I hate to admit it but with the combination of an awful hangover and a very cold day, i did not sieze Brussels like I should have, but I do plan to make a trip back before I leave....
