Today was the first day of class, and I have to say the most exciting first day I have ever had. The name of my first class is "Comparison of Higher Education in the United States and the European Union" (quite a mouthful huh?) There are only 8 students in my class, and my professor is from the University of South Dakota (Vermillion). She is wonderful and I am very excited to be in her class. It is the most laid back classroom setting I have ever experienced in all of my education. It is more of an open forum to exchange ideas..it is amazing the ideas that can be discussed in the right setting. There are two Polish girls and six American students, including myself. The program runs on a bloc schedule meaning each month I am here is separate bloc. The first class will last until March 1. We have class from 9:00 AM to noon, Monday thru Thursday. I hope this entry finds everyone happy and healthy. I will keep you up to speed on the development of my class!
