First I apologize for not having pictures up yet. I've been trying to get them uploaded here at the office, since I don't really want to deal with taking my camera out at the internet cafe. However, here at the office internet is frustratingly intermittent, so I don't have a lot of time to make these updates.

Well, "research" has been going pretty well I must say. I've been able to speak to the several orgs that I mentioned earlier and have plans to be out on the field for at least two days next week (one with IRC and the other with Seruka). I also have a meeting with Women Waging Peace on Monday. I'm also still waiting to hear back about NURC (National Committe on Unity and Reconciliation) to meet with them next week as well.

As for recreation, well I've eaten out the last two nights with friends. Joseian (Rwandan girl from the Presbyterian Choir) and I went to the Iris restaurant on Wednesday night, and last night I was invited out by Vicki to Chez Robert and nice place by hotel Mille Collines that is all presentation/atmosphere and not much else. Again it was nice to be with friends in the evening. I'm supposed to spend this evening with Desire.

Some news as well. I am going to be changing my residence in two weeks. Beth introduced me to another intern who needed to leave the house she is renting now with three other women, but needed to find someone to replace her (or pay two rents at the same time). The private house is very nice, and still close to my work. It is only two minutes away by foot from where I am now. It is half the price I am paying now for my room, and it includes guard, cook, cleaning lady, and laundry...amazing. To think in another 7 weeks I'll have to do all of this myself again. I'll be the youngest one there. The three other women all finished their grad degrees. Oh well, it should be fun to be the only guy in the house...maybe.

PS. This message is for Zenia. Desire thinks it is so sad that you haven't made any posts, responses to me. I told him I didn't really expect you to, but he thinks you should be "severly punished" - whatever that means. As long as you remember who I am when I go home I'll be happy, but so that Desire is reassured that you are indeed the nice sister I described, perhaps you could send me a message!

Hi Josh!
Josh,
Thank you so much for keeping me posted on your travels. I am really envious of you, but I enjoy reading about your experiences. Look forward to your next posting and of course, to see some photographs. Hopefully, I will get to see you the next time you are in Michigan.

Re: Hi Josh!
Hi Ms. Wez!
I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the posts. I will be back in Michigan for three weeks starting August 30th. I will certainly make it a point to stop by and visit. Hopefully, I be able to catch Joe as well. I was dissappointed to find out that I missed him, since he was already at his camp counsuler job when I came home.
Best,
Josh

Re: nice
Great Place huh? I can't wait to move in myself...just two more weeks! These three weeks have flown by though. It seems like just last night I was fighting off mosquitos at the Nairobi airport.
