This morning I was up early with the intention of going back to the city to try to get an internet connection. Luckily I didn't go, because everything was closed anyways. Apparently they take their Sunday's seriously here.

I went to the Presbyterian English service at 11am here at the guesthouse. (FYI the guesthouse is operated by the Presbyterian Church of Rwanda). I met the Korean professor again there, along with two other Korean girls he brought along with him who were working at a Korean NGO. I also made some Rwandan friends including Valerie (a Congolese student in his last year of school here in Kigali), Principe (a young accountant), and Josieane (a young female student at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology). After the service, Won-Gyu invited all of us "students" for lunch. It was very nice to speak with everyone over lunch and make some friends. Afterwards we went our own ways and I went with Josieane and Principe (along with another girl whose name I cannot remember) on a short walk around the city. We chatted some more and eventually ended up back at my guesthouse. We exchanged phone numbers and they left me at the guesthouse.

I rested there for several hours and read a bit more of The Davinci Code. I then asked the receptionist, Damieah (sp?), where there was a restaurant/bar that I could go watch the World Cup Final at. He told me to go to Iris restaurant. When I got there, however, there were no TVs. The staff there told me that there was a restaurant at the Franco-Rwandan Cultural Center (the place where they have the movie theater). I went there, but found that the restaurant was only serving drinks tonight. I had a Sprite for dinner. I watched the game there at the theater, but I had to leave after regular time, because it was approaching 10pm and the guesthouse would be closing soon. I got to the guesthouse at 10:01pm and found the gate closed. A quick phone call to the front desk got the gate opened and I finished watching the game from my room. Poor France.

Wedding Invite
Just so you know... you were sent a formal invitation in the mail, but since you won't be home until after the RSVP date I'm just going to assume that you will be attending the reception!!
