We got to Port Macquarie after a very nice drive from the Blue Mountains. There is not really all that much to say about it here except it is a very nice, quaint beach town, not unlike Carmel, CA. We spent a day walking along the beach and watching the surfers catching some epic waves. We contemplated renting a board, but the weather didn't look like it was going to hold out, and it didn't. It rained on us the entire night. The Wicked van is one step up from a tent, so we stayed dry. We spent two nights here and then left for Byron's Bay, about another 5 hour drive north along the coast. Maybe we'll get some surf in while we are there.
