Geneva was a nice city. It was, needless to say, very expensive, but Tara and I found some economical things to do while we were there. The first day we walked around the city and the enormous lake and just took in the city. The second day, we did a bit of the same thing and we also rented a paddleboat and paddled to the center of the lake and just hung out and swam. Unfortunately, the hotel that we had booked was a bus ride and then a train ride from the city, but it wasn't so bad. We had a nice nutritious meal at good old McDonalds that only cost us a meer $26... . Defeated, we headed back to the hotel to contemplate how we could have each just spent $13 at McDonalds. Switzerland is beautiful, but not worth coming to unless they are planning to do nothing but hike, backpack, or you have enough money to be relatively frivolous, and we do not. Next we head to Milan for just one night.

The pictures and comments are great! Go to Monaco but eat before you go. It was very expensive 30 years ago...Have fun!
