Today is our last day in canadian territory, we will be crossing the border this afternoon, after visiting Waterton Lakes NP.
Tha night has been hot, and it was difficult to sleep, both of us thirsty, for the high temperature and the pizza. After checking out and grabbing a capuccino at the petrol station, we have 2 hours driving to the park. Tha landscape is very nice as we head east, and we arrive in the park near midday. First stop at Red Rock Canyon, going upstream through the rocks and the small flow of water. There is a view trail on top, but we thought it would be funnier to get into the canyon. There is a lot of people doing the same than us, whole families, small children...but they are better prepared, with water shoes, so they can get into the water. We cannot, so we have to be careful with the slippery rocks we step on.
Some other visits in this park:
-Blackiston Falls.
-Cameron Lake.
-Akamina Lake.
-Linnet Lake Loop.

The trails and views are quite fair, but the thing we liked most in this park is the amount of bears, we saw 6 different bears, some of them really close...
We wanted to hike around Cameron Lake, with the secret hope of finding a cougar, but the weather is very bad up there, so we abandon the idea and the hope.
Some more views of the Lakes (under a thin rain), and we head up to the US border, where after a few routine questions, we say good-bye to the canadian experience.
Our entrance to the US is through Waterton Glacier International Peace Park, and we drive just on the limits of the Park to East Glacier Park, where we are sleeping tonight at another Youth Hostel. Our first thought is to stay here 2 nights to have plenty of time to visit the park, but the road to the entrance of the park is very tough, and the weather is not so fine. Also, the town has not very much to choose for eating, so we will finally just stay one night and see all what's worth in the park in one day, so we'll have one free day to gain some of the hundreds of kms we still have to drive to Seattle again.
After checking in and leaving lugagge, we go to have supper to one of the two restaurants of the town, just 10 meters away from the Hostel (which has a grocery downstairs, by the way).
Another hanburger and fries and film session: "Poseidon".
Distance driven: 363 km.
