Get up early, walk on the beach, breakfast and to the airport, heading for Komodo natural reserve. The girl that came to meet us and get us to airport is very shy or very unfriendly, because she said absolutely nothing. Perhaps she does not like her job... We depart from Denpasar airport, where we meet a spanish couple from Madrid, Gustavo and Eva, who are going to share our days in Komodo with us. We start talking and suddenly, we land in Labuanbajo airport, in the island of Flores. THAT is a really small airport. We meet our guide (don't remember name, sorry. So we call him Mowgli 2), and after some time in a very hot car, we get to the boat that is going to be our home for nrxt days. It is a nice sailship, with 8 members of tripulation, and allowing 8 more people as passengers. We are 4 spanish and 4 french. No problem. The rooms are really very small, but comfortable, and we share the front part of the boat, in private room with the other spanish. The lunch is served on board, in a huge table for 8 people. The food is not really fantastic, but we feel hungry... After lunch, a little sunbathing. We keep sailing to Rinca park, with a little trekking. Very deceiving, we have seen no more than 5 Komodo dragons. They are very big, and they say very agressive. The guides (not Mowgli 2, he stays on the ship), tell us stories about dragon attacks to humans which I am not going to repeat. Some photos during the trekking, nice sunset, but very few animals and vegetation. Perhaps they all have gone away for the weekend... Return to the boat, some supper and go to sleep, after a deceiving day. Good night!
