Clearly, that is the most important thing to have. And I think that's what I'm lacking in Geneva. Cuz it's not that I don't have lots to do. And offers to participate in activities with the other sex.

But. Who do I go dancing with? Who do I chat with on the phone about the _obnoxious_ boy on the train? Who do I commiserate with when _cute_ boy at the Jardin Anglais has a girlfriend? Who will come shopping with me for my coveted Chanels? Who will just chill with me on a beach, with no pretenses?

Not to worry kids. I get the sense that lots of chics here have, and are having, the same experience as I am. And I've got a plan.

I'm less assured, and feeling more nervous actually, about my quest for the 'perfect apartment'. I truly am not picky, but I do desperately want to live (with a bedroom and balcony) in the quartier of Paquis or Eaux Vives, here in Geneva, but scouring the ads for available apartments has truly been fruitless. And even if I (or the wonderful relocation agent whose job it is to find me an apartment) were to find _something_ that fits my three criteria, I'd be applying against all kinds of other people, many of whom surely have a better 'dossier' for the regie than a newly arrived NGO employee does.

All sound greek? You should hear what I'm going through with Swiss banks right now...

Bottom line is, I need more GIRLfriends here (truly, no offence to any of my wonderful friends that are guys... it's a girl thing), and I really could use any additional advice or contacts on the elusive apartment.
