Where I stayed
Well we didn't need to worry about whether the children would be up. Even though Lucy didn't go to bed until nearly midnight she was up at seven jumping up and down on the bed!
The weather could have been kinder. We were led into a false sense of security when the weather was fantastic at the begining of the day. However, by mid morning we had a torrential downpour. The kids were prepared with waterproofs, but Jeff and I had fleeces! We had to shelter, under the roof of a ride photography shop, Lucy supplied the staff with a number of jokes which meant we could stay there until the rain eventually stopped.
After that, the sun came out again and for the rest of the day it was gorgeous. Lots of queues but lots of fun :-)
As well as the rides, the children really enjoyed Miniland, Dan particularly loved the boats!
At the end of the day, everyone was exhausted but happy. The day was rounded off by fish and chips by the River Thames with very smelly swans!
