Left early to go
to Tanga. This is a port on the coast which was the centre for the
export of sisal until the market collapsed in the 70’s. There are
still large sisal plantations together with tea and coffee but Tanga
is no longer a thriving port. Found a reasonable hotel but will be on
the move tomorrow.
