today i looked around paraty its a very old Portuguese town - very nice then took a local bus 30 Min's away to a tiny little village called Trindade. which is tiny looked around and had some lunch. then they had one guy that rented surf boards (he also made them) had to walk through the rain forest to the beach about 15 mins walk up and down a little track. then the beach was surrounded by forest right but to the sand. it looked so beautiful there was only one other guy there.
Paraty has what they call a fort its really just a building on a hill with some old cannon round it. it did have a stunning view of the harbor though. the road to Trindade was pretty fun in the bus made the Italian job look like a cake walk as the bus was going up the hill which was i have to say greater than a 45 degree hill with a lorry coming the other way - oh did i mention it was single track with blind corners - close your eyes time...
Tomorrow I move to florianopolis which is about a 16 hour journey. well i will update you when I get the chance.
