This morning Genevieve woke me up at
6am to help her scatter happy birthday notes all over Felicity's bed
that she and Laura had made. What a wonderful sister.
Felicity writes...Today was MY
BIRTHDAY! I woke up to pieces of paper scattered all over me saying
“Happy Birthday”. When it finally got to my party we had so much
fun!!! For my presents I got a dress, shoes, watch, t-shirt, book,
pen, paperweight, necklace, scarf and lots of money. That afternoon
we went to the beach at Dinard where we built another amazng
sandcastle. After that we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant right
on the beach. It was delicious.
Rosemary finishes...Simon and I purchased an oil painting
at Dinard this afternoon. We have been keeping an eye out for a piece
and finally we have found something we both liked. The irony is that
it is painted in Provence where we spent only a few days.
I skyped Mum this morning as it was a
very sad day for her and for our family. This date is also Mum and Dad's wedding
anniversary so it was the first milestone date that Dad has not been
us. It was difficult not being at home to support Mum through the day.
