Jet lagged! This morning we woke up at 3.30am and were having breakfast at 4am. We were ready to explore Stanley Park, Vancouver's evergreen heart before 9am. A record for the Jones family. The first stop on the way was Robson Street, well known for its shopping.

Genevieve writes...

Today we went to one of my favourite clothes stores called Zara. We crossed the zebra crossing and then walked into the shop. The first floor was for women, the second floor was mens and the third floor was kids. So we went to the third floor. I first found a long white top that had a brown belt. I tried that on and it looked really nice. Then we found a brown skirt to go with it. That was my little outfit. Felicity got a leaf print top with a brown frilly skirt and a brown belt. We bought brown boots to share. The outfits looked fab! Thank you to all our family and friends who gave us euros and pounds to spend. They are history!

Next we went to Stanley Park. It was a very sunny day with a cold wind. First we went to see the totem poles. I said to Mum, "Haven't we seen totem poles before except the Maori ones have tongues sticking out.?" After that we went across the road to a platform where we saw a beautiful view of the mountains. They were so high that in the summer they had snow on the top. Next to us was a maple tree. If you don't know, maple tress are famous in Canada. After that we went to a gift shop with a cafe. They had squashy sandwiches, very spicy sausage rolls and things like chocolate brownies and the lemon slice. I would rate these 10 out of 10. Then we walked along the waterfront to a water park. It had fountains that we ran through. We stood in the middle so we didn't get wet because the water was so cold.

We went cross country to the Vancouver Aquarium. It was incredibly amazing. I saw animals that I have never seen before,. When we first walked in the dolphin show was on. They were bottle nosed dolphins and they could do really awesome tricks. They did flips, landed on their stomachs and all this water came up from below. Then the three dolphins jumped up on the side of the pool. See the pictures below. After that we went to see the beluga whale show. They live in the Artic Circle and are completely white. They first fed them. It was funny becasue the baby beluga whale saw a bird in the water. He was trying to eat it however I think the bird was too smart for him. The whales put water in their mouths and spirted it all up and it went on a baby in a pram. After that we went to a 4D show. We had moving seats, 3D glasses, bubbles, air and water. One of the most scariest parts of the movie was when a sea snake came up. It went behind you in the 3D effect and we were poked in our backs on our seat. We saw the dolphins surf waves  and the cute cuddly seals in the movie. Actually we saw all those animals in real life in this aquarium. On our way home, guess what happened. We saw a family of raccoons. They looked cute and cuddly but the taxi driver said they are very viciuos. And that was our day out.
