There was excitement this morning as we were catching up with Ellie who is visiting from NZ. She has looked after Felicity and Genevieve for a number of years and is over seeing her daughter Claudia who lives here. We all met at Piccadilly Circus for lunch and talked nonstop about all our adventures and news from NZ.
We then headed along Whitehall to see the Horse Guards and No.10 Downing St and through St Jame's Park to Buckingham Palace. The funniest moment had to be the poor guard at the palace tripping up and nearly falling flat on his back whilst marching back and forth in front of the palace gates. We had a sugar fix in Green Park sitting on the deck chairs and then headed for Speakers Corner in Hyde Park which Ross, Ellie's partner was keen to see again. Alas noone was there. So it was off past Marble Arch and up Oxford Street to find a pub for an early dinner. We are all looking forward to having Ellie back mid Sept.
We treated ourselves to a musical at the West End tonight, Grease. It was heaps of fun with lots of bopping. Being in the West End at night was great and we even made it home on the bus.
