This morning Janet's lovely handyman Bob popped in. He had Felicity out picking blackberries and the girls were laughing at his Cockney slang. He taught us all some new phrases.
*Old man - old pot and pan
*Wife - fork and knife
*Kids - saucepan lids
*Hair - Barnett Fair
*Teeth - Hampstead Heath
*Socks - arms and rocks
*Feet - plates and meat
*Eyes - pork pies
*Mouth - north and south

We boarded the double decker bus late morning heading towards Tower Bridge. As we hopped off we were right next to The London Dungeon attraction so the family vote was to go in.  We had to queue for about 30 minutes to then endure two terrifying hours of London's most blood curling history, reinacted through shows with live actors and hair-raising rides, literally. Felicity will tell you more. Genevieve went around with her fingers in her ears so she couldn't hear any of the stories.

After another fish and chip lunch we chilled out at St Catherine Docks before heading over Tower Bridge to the Tower od London. We all decided to end the day treating ourselves to shopping at Harrods. We had great fun checking out the watches, trying on fancy dresses and finally purchasing sunglasses to replace the couple of pairs stolen, Question - what do you think one of the most expensive watches at Harrods costs?

Dinner at home tonight with Janet - and another few wines. I booked our final accommodations on our trip, one night at Heathrow and four nights in downtown Vancouver. I am celebrating as I am over last minute bookings. Felicity has done an awesome job sussing out our accommodation as we have moved around. She has a real knack for finding excellent properties, at a bargain.

The London Dungeons!  Creeeeeeeppy. When we hopped off the red double decker bus there was a long queue of about 1000 people so we had to go and see why there was such a big queue. It was a good thing we did because it was one of the best experiences of my life! First, luckily we were put in the priority queue so instead of waiting for 3 to 4 hours it was only about a 20 minute wait to get inside. Once we had bought our tickets we went through with about 35 other people.

The first room was called The Crypt! This was underneath the so called Hallow's Church with dead bodies. UGHHH , THAT  PART WAS DISGUSTING!! The 2nd room was called The Labyrnith of Lost Souls where you went through a mirror maze with people jumping out at you with big cuts or holding their brains. The 3rd room was about the plague and what happened when you got sick! The 4th room was about the great fire of London. It was about a man who owned a baker's store and woke up in the middle oif the night to find  that his store was on fire. He managed to save his wife, his 2 children and himself but his maid was trapped and she burned to death! The 5th room was called Surgery, Blood and Guts, where a doctor from the olden days was allowed to have people and open them up to research different parts of their body like the heart or lungs. He operate and pretended he pulled out a heart. It went all black and you felt what was supposed to be blood splattered all over you!!!!!!!! The 6th room was called the Torture Chamber where they showed you what happened when the judge sentenced you to torture. One thing they did was get what looked like a massive pair of scissors, then they would put the end of them in the fire for a while so it was burning hot. Then they would put your tounge between the scissors, twist completely round 4 times and pull your tounge out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! The 7th room was called The Judge. Someone was picked out of the crowd to see the judge. His crime was for dressing up as a girl and going down to the marina and saying to all the sailors "you know you want it" and smacked his bottom. It was really funny! The 8th one was boring! The 9th room was where you went on a boat ride in the sewers and you got soaked! The 10th room room was called Sweeny Tod! He was a man who owened a barber's shop and apparentlely he was known for taking too much off the top!  You sat in a chair and it went all dark. Tthen you heard him walking around the room and at the end there was a thing in your chair that pulled your hair so everybody thought he cut it. It was really scary! The 11th room was really SCARY. It was about how a man called Jack the Ripper went aound murdering people in the dead of the night. First he slit their throats, then sliced open their chests and pulled out all the organs and left them on the floor.  After  that we went into an old bar where the bar lady told us that this night was the 10th anniversary of when the attacks stopped and then suddeky the light  went all flashy and Jack the Ripper appeared then disappeared as suddenly as he had come. That was really creepy. The 12th room was called Bloody Marykiller Queen and somebody was chosen from thb crowd again and was burned at the stake!! The the last room was AWESOME! It was like the Fearfall at Rainbows End. That one was so much fun!!!!!!  Then we exited back into the sunshine where there was no Jack the Ripper haunting you!!!!!!! It was the best day ever!!

The most expensive watch at Harrods that we saw cost 304,000.
