Today we farewelled Sue and Robbie at Slindon. We do hope we shall see the Foley family in NZ soon. I had promised Genevieve on this trip that we would ride in a horse and carriage. So it was off to Arundel, with its famous castle and cathedral to have a surprise ride around the town. We also had to visit the old sweet shop for a lollipop.

We then headed off back to Kent to stay with Wendy and Oliver Allen and their family at The Old Rectory, Luddenham. Wendy is the daughter of Mum's cousin Peter. They are living on a gorgeous country property in a house built in the C16th. We were greeted by three dogs, a cat, chickens and swans. Oliver has a passion for cooking. We sat down to a beef fondue dinner with many of the cousins - Wendy, Oliver, William, Oli, Lizzie and Freddie. A great night with lots of hilarity.
