Into London and met up with friends Jon & Mel, who treated me to a champagne breakfast, which lasted from 8am until around 3pm, by which time we were all quite jolly.

Well the 3 month trek across Britain is over, all more or less as planned.

From road and river, valley and vale, moor and mountain, its been a blast. With the people that I have met and the places I have been, I feel I understand a little better my country and my place in it. I would also say that I understand a little better my place in the broader scheme of things, but that's a different story.

To my friends and family, who have supported throughout the trip, who have walked, talked, texted, emailed and helped me on this little journey, the biggest thank you I can hold above my head and wave. For Charles and family who got me safely back to Inverness. For everyone that has sponsored and those that sponsor over the the coming days, thank you. We are running at £7,800 and a few more quid can put us over the 8K mark.

So dig deep if you have not yet dug. Will be sending out a short list of the best photos from the trip, to those who have sponsored, over the coming days....enough to give you a sense of the journey, but not have you rushing for the ibuprofen.

So what next? Mmmm, will have to think about that. Any suggestions on something you fancy having a crack at, let me know.  As my grandmother used to say, you can do anything, if you put your mind to it.
