This morning I have to leave Phi Phi Island and cross over to Koh Lanta near to the coast with Krabbi,
The boat leaves bang on time at 11.30 am and I take my last look at the beautiful isle that was phiphi isle, it is very pretty but an expensive place these days and quiet crowded even out of season but I'm happy to have seen it.
After an hour and a half we pull into koh Lanta and Saladan town, small and quiet and the usual people waiting to take you to a hotel or beach, when I tell them I am staying in my brothers house they soon lose interest, but non of them are pushy, a young Muslim woman takes me on here tuk tuk to the house.
Simons house is right on the beach with a nice pool and spacious accommodation, they are all around the pool or in the sea when I get there and need to take a swim myself to cool down.

Dave bore and Jean Marriott are also there and I havent seen them for some years now and it is a pleasant surprise as the are good company, just hope I'm not too much of a gooseberry with 2 couples there.

I am happy to be around friendly recognizable faces and we have a beer or 2 and go out for a meal just as the sun has set, the place has an upmarket and quiet feel about it and is clean and relaxed.
Happy to be here for a permanent 6 day stay in the same bed....!!

I get to bed after chatting on the terrace till midnight and fall into bed and sound asleep, I know I will be able to have a break from the travelling and it has come at a welcome time.

Oh and there is a very friendly dog that keeps following us around a real beauty and never begs food or enters the house just waits around for us to leave and come back,

We have named her Katie but other house owners around there call her Bella, but all the same I would like to take her with me.
