Not the nicest city in the world but our visit may have been slightly overshadowed by the 2 hour search for a campsite! We gave up in the end and parked up in a retail car park. Ideal for shopping and eating but not great when you get woken up in the night by the local police officer banging on the door!! Slightly unnerving being woken up by Jon's cry of 'Jen we're being done!' followed by torchlight through the window. Nice police officer though. He was apparently looking for some guy who'd been reported and wanted to check he wasn't with us. We didn't ask too many questions but promised to seek out the nearest campsite the following day. Apart from that it was the best nights sleep we've had in ages.
We spent the day in the centre of Calgary. Not much to see really as the city only comes alive when the cowboys hit town in July for the Calgary Stampede. We had a mooch round though and then head back out towards the Rockies.
