To the tune of 'New York' by Alicia Keys and Jay-Z...

"New Zealand, actual jungle where it rains a lot, there's nothing you can dooo.. in New Zealand"

haha.

So there we were in Auckland, waiting for the Magic bus to take us up north to the bay of islands, a second loop we paid for when we were back home. It started pouring down and we thought "we might as well stay in Auckland because, when it rains at least there is stuff to do" but we thought "we've paid for it now so we might as well just get on the bus and see how it goes!". So off we went.

Turns out, there was infinite sunshine and happy times waiting for us up north so it's a good job we went! On the way we went to see waterfalls and great views of the sea and sunny sky and islands etc. We got to the hostel and checked in to our nice room and hired 2 bikes and went cycling for the whole afternoon!

We followed the coast on the bikes and ended up on the inside of the grounds of the building where the famous treaty of Waitangi was signed (which charged $25 for entry - oops!). We made a swift exit, cycled to the supermarket to pick up some stuff for tea and loads and chocolate and cakes (as a reward after some exercise!).

We chilled out in the hostel in the evening and watched 'Seven', to the annoyance of some random opinionated and highly annoying man, but we'll tell you more when we get home!

The next day we went on a day trip to the very very north, Cape Reinga, which Jon is doing an blog entry for right now! After we got back we just chilled and checked out the next morning and got the magic bus back down to Auckland ready to fly the next morning!
