We arrived back in Istanbul with a couple of days to do some last minute shopping, eat a few more bites of Turkish cuisine, and ponder where we've been and what we've done.  We had already seen our choice of sights when we started here 2 months ago, so we only have a small portion of food pictures for you in this entry.  The camera needed a break.

Tourism had kicked into full swing while we were away from Istanbul and the crowds that greeted us made us thankful we had nothing important to do on this pass through town.  Well, we did hit a couple of museums we hadn't seen yet.  It's too hard not to do something in a place like Istanbul.

It's been a great journey.  As always, some experiences were off the charts while some, admittedly, had me checking the calendar to see how many days we had left.  It's always that way - if you're being honest with yourself.  Heading to catch our flight in the early morning I began conversing with my thoughts in what has become a typical ritual on trips to the airport.  "Will I ever be back here again?"  Who knows.  "What's so great about travel?"  Everything you learn and all the new questions you now have to find the answers to.  "Think you'll ever lose the wanderlust?"  Not a chance...

And then we were on our way home.

Goodbye and thank you Turkey.  Thanks, too, to each of you who came along.
