Barhal, a small village of about 1,000 people, provided us with a much needed place to rest at roughly the half-way point of our trip. Set in the eastern side of the Kackar Mountains, it has a wonderful view of the mountains, a swiftly moving river running through it, and plenty of fresh air and relaxation to take in. We spent 4 nights here, took a couple of hikes, read, napped, and generally let the place refresh us.

The landscape was wonderful and hopefully the pictures have captured this for you.
