Staying in the Cappadocia region, we moved on the city of Goreme.  It's no stranger to tourism, but has some stunning scenery and wonderful hikes outside the small city's plethora of souvenir shops.

While here we visited the Goreme Open-Air Museum, one of Turkey's World Heritage sites.  Its rock-cut churches and monasteries still retain some very impressive paintings which the pictures will show.

We also did some more hiking in Goreme National Park.  Gorgeous scenery allowed us to escape the tourism that fills this area of the country.

From here we continue to head east to the city of Malatya on our way to visit Mt Nemrut.

Enjoy the pictures!
