I am now officially the happiest man on the planet! A few weeks ago, I got hitched to the love of my life, Monic.  Monic and I have been together for 12 years and as a result of our love, we are proud parents of a darling daughter.  Marga, as we affectionally call her, fills up our life with so much meaning and purpose in ways that we never imagined possible.

I wanted to propose marriage to Monic for over a year but ever since I got laid off from work, this dream of mine started fading away somehow.  I never expected that the global economic crisis would hit me in this manner (close to the heart).  It was painful at first and tested my resolve but I did not allow fear to douse cold water over my dream.  For close to a year, I tried looking for a job and relied on family and friends to get me thru tough times.

Last December, I finally landed a job!  I did not waste time anymore and proposed to Monic right away in a very simple yet sincere manner.  Luckily for us, there was a slot open in our favorite church, which however, was only 2 weeks away.  Without any hesitation and much preparation, we booked the date.  Despite little time, we were able to pull it off and come up with a simple yet beautiful wedding ceremony witnessed by about a hundred of our closest family and friends.

Now that we have moved in together, I can't help but smile from ear to ear and thank the Lord for the many blessings I received last year especially last December.  I am now planning to give Monic a much deserved honeymoon vacation.  Given my budget, I narrowed down my choices to Tagaytay, Subic Bay and Baguio as traveling by land would be much cheaper than taking the plane.  I came across the Lighthouse Marina Resort at Subic Bay that was recommended by a friend as the best resort hotel in Subic Bay and most probably Tagaytay and Baguio as well.

After reading and hearing so many positive reviews, I am now convinced that a honeymoon at the Lighthouse Marina Resort is the perfect gift for my Monic.  With sunset cruise offerings and a candle-lit dinner in your own private veranda, the Lighthouse Marina Resort is the perfect place for honeymooners.  This kind of attention to detail and customer service that is beyond what is expected, is my definition of what a luxury out-of-town resort hotel experience should be.

According to my friend who frequents the Lighthouse Marina, the resort boasts of no less than 34 rooms with 42" colored LCD TVs mounted on the wall and your very own DVD player.  On top of this, I am also looking forward to trying out their ultra comfortable mattresses with lush pillows and fabrics, which according to my friend, made him fall asleep in no time.  Another bedroom feature that I believe tops them all is the glass walled bathroom with a freestanding tub, reminiscent of old world bathrooms.  Truly, the bedroom at the Lighthouse Marina is a place to sit back and relax while watching your favorite TV show or just surfing your preferred websites.

I know many resort hotels can boast of fantastic rooms and amenities but who can actually take you out on a sunset cruise?  Hands-down, the Lighthouse Marina Resort in Subic Bay has all the elements of my dream vacation and much more.

I am writing this piece to celebrate the blessings in my life and at the same time profess my love to my wife and daughter.  Lastly, I am hoping to be fortunate enough to win this dream vacation from Hit A Bargain! (www.hitabargain.com) and the Lighthouse Marina Resort to surely make Monic the happiest woman on the planet!
