Pro:  3rd hiker to arrive at the front gate of Machu Picchu.  It was a race to the finish.  Even though we couldnīt make out anything with the fog at 6am, I was feeling like a champ!
Con:  2 days of the runs while trekking from some kind of food poisoning maybe.  No worries, CIPRON is a miracle pill!!

Amazing views everywhere in the Sacred Valley, the start of the Inca Trail.  Those Incas really knew how to choose their locations to build an empire.  Here we saw lots of llamas and village people working on their crafts.

First day of trekking was not bad.  Chris had a bad case of altitude sickness + cold + lactose + some kind of food poisoning.  We had to call a doctor and decided he should head back down.  We parted ways temporarily.
Second day of the trek was the most grueling of all hikes Iīve ever done.  And we were spoiled with porters carrying majority of the weight.  Third day of the trek was filled with beautiful scenary and ruins that would eventually lead to the big honcho of decked up ruins - Machu Picchu!  Had a grand time bonding with my tour group through card games.
