We had a fun evening last night.  It was the last night the gang was together.

We had some fun at the Bike show, and Vic had risers put on his handbars. It was very funny to see him pull into the Convention Center full of Gold Wings, which are very quite bikes, and he came rumbling in. Pete wanted him to gun it just to hear the sound and to get a reaction out of everyone, but he was good.  We got a few other fun things for the Bike, and then headed back to the hotel.

Vic and the guys went back out after dropping the ladies off.  So Judy and I decided to go to the restuarant "Chips"  and much to our surprise it was "half price bottle of wine night", so yes we did take advantage of that and relaxed, drank our wine, and got to know each other. We had a"few" bottles  and then guys came and joined us for dinner around 8:00. I am really going to miss her.  We only meet 2 weeks ago and she lives in San Diago, but I know we will remain friends.  That is one of my "special (good) memories of this trip. So we all laughed talked about what we had been through and headed to bed.

Pete and Judy left at 5:00 am to head home to San Diago, and Vic and Deb Tufts, headed for Dodge City, Kansas. Vic and I got on the road at 7:00am and headed home.

We decided to try and go as many miles as my butt would let me just so we could get closer to hhome.  Our goal was to get a little past St Louis and or be off the road by 5:00.

We decided to go Interstate 35 in to Kansas City and then pick up 70 East, which we know take uus right into Eldersburg.  We did well and Vic and I are still speaking. We made an agreement to not get upset if we went the wrong way, but we did great.  We stop for lunch for about an hour to just rest my butt. I have taken so many pictures on the back of the bike and will get them uploaded when I get home.

We were meeting our goal,to get off the road at 5:00, but we hit St Louis just before rush hour and then we found out there was a Ball Game at Busch Statdium.  We went right by the statdium and we saw the St Louis Arch.  I did get some great pictures.

We finally got out of traffic and stopped in Troy, IL around 5:45 after going 500 miles.  We pullled off at a Holiday Inn Express, took a shower and got some dinner. We bought some beer in a gas station and walked back to our rooms and are getting ready to just relax.

We are going to get get on the road at 6:00am and try another long day, but don't think we will get home until sometime Saturday late.  We know our limits so we are just doing what we can.

Thanks for everyone thinking of us and staying in touch through this blog, email, texting or Facebook.

Talk to you all soon,

Vic & JO
