Hvar, Hvar Island, Croatia

Hvar, an island off the coast of Split, was an interesting experience for me. The first day was lovely, spent walking around, chilling out by the beach and generally relaxing. But the night was awful. I attempted to get an early (i.e. 12pm) nights sleep, but the 6 other poeple in my room decided that wasnt going to happen. After being woken up by drunken fools turning on the lights and singing at 3am, 4am, 5am and 6am, I was completely wreck in the morning. So my tour to the gorgeous blue caves was hindered by my exhaustion. The upshot of all this is that i almost had a nervous breakdown, then, after helpful advice from parents and boyfriend, decided to book myself into a single room. Which, as it turns out, was pretty much the same price as a 7 bed dorm, and had an ensuite.
So after relaxing and getting some good nights sleep, I really enjoyed my time in Hvar. Beaching, sunning, drinking and eating. Loved the sunsets, loved the atmosphere, loved the people.
Now off to Italy for muchos gelato.
