And so this is it. After months of planning, fantasising and saving (well, not too hard), its Europe eve.

My backpack is packed as full as it could possibly be (albeit with lots of presents and things I can leave at the relos when I arrive). My hand luggage comprises of a massive 900 page novel, a lonely planet guide, my full charged ipod and 2 travel hula hoops.

I'm too excited to sleep, so am debating on-the-plane strategies...to drink litres of water, moisterise and stretch my potentially DVT filled legs every half and hour? Or to keep downing minature bottles of beer, wine and spirits brought around every few hours by beautiful flight attendants until I'm refused service? I'll let you know which wins out.

Anyway, hopefully you all miss me terribly already and are sending jealous vibes in my direction.

Next stop, London town.
