We arrived back in Sydney with just under two weeks to spare.

First stop - Campbelltown, where it all began. A few days there getting washing done, having a bath and getting the car cleaned and then straight to the city to sell it.

The backpacker car markets are in Kings Cross - the not so nice part of the city. But this is Australia and not so nice really isn't so bad. We booked into a hostel for 3 nights at first to see how it went. The car markets are certainly everybodies worst nightmare. It is at the bottom of an underground carpark where backpackers sit around desperatly trying to get rid of their cars. We were confident on arrival as our car looked good and we had all the paperwork to back it up - other people were selling cars that wouldn't be allowed on the road at home.

At first glance I guess our car seemed expensive and buyers would look at the price and walk to the wreck next to us. It is amazing what people were selling - what they didn't realise is that they'd spend more money in repairs on these cars than ours would cost them in total!!!

Anyway we did fine - the car sold on the second day (some people had been there weeks) and we got what we paid for it. And we are confident that we havn't ruined some backpackers dream holiday buy selling them a bomb.

So the car sold quicker than expected and we got more money than we really expected. That left us with time and cash to see the sights of Sydney one more time. We checked into another motel for 3 nights and enjoyed the bars and atmosphere.

Now - we are back in Campbelltown for a few days getting caught up with all that needs doing when you leave the country you have been living in for a year. We leave here in two days time for Langkawi (an island off Malaysia) where we will spend 8 days on the beach hopefully. And then a quick trip to Vienna and then home for Christmas.
