one month in Indonesia came to close much sooner then we could have imagined. We were quite saturated by this place in the most contradictory ways possible. On one hand there were the most incredible night tours with the hands on experience of the local herpetological wildlife and on the other hand was the beach life with its pros and cons.

the last day we went to the beach to bid farewell to the huge waves that were in their wildest since we got there. we had finally bought playing cards so the whole day we spent playing and watching the surfers riding the huge waves. i also went for a quick dip into the sea but the surf was too strong and the waves so big that if i didn't want to loose my swimming trunks i had to get out of there but not before i had a bit of fun. well, i was swept on the shore couple of times like a whale, i scratched my leg on the gravel and was worried about my knee when the waves splashed me around all over the beach but it was still worth it. shortly after i got out a guard actually brought a do-not-swim flag. :)

we knew it was time to get out of Bali not only as our visas were expiring but we got really fed up with the constant bugging by the street sellers and massage girls. the terms 'shopping', 'taxi' and 'massage' would resonate for quite a while in our minds but despite of this we will return to Bali very soon for more snake encounters and the next time it will be the king cobra that we will be aiming for.
