Day 3
Oh look at that!! The US Open tennis is on the same time we are in New York, what lucky timing, hehehe so off to the tennis we go. We had to line up for about 1.5 hours to get in. Christopher, who I played tennis with in Vancouver, sent his parents off to the tennis with no escort (shocking I know!) so we went out to the tennis with them. Ray and Joyce already had tickets (smart move) so they went on ahead into the stadium. Due to technical difficulties with cell phones we lost them on the inside oops! Don't worry, they made it home safely. We had a great day watching three matches, two very long ones. We saw Marcus Baghdatis beaten by Max Mirnyi, and the young gun John Isner (who took a set of Roger Federra in the 3rd round), beat Yakko Ninermin. It was a long match and a very long day.
