We left the Wal-Mart in Laramie, WY about 10:30 after exploring with the kids looking at tracks in the snow.  Again, Susan was requested to drive by TJ and she did such a great job.  We arrived in Colorado Springs, Colorado just in time to catch the last few innings of Nathan's (nephew) baseball game.  We had a good time catching up with the Parsons on Friday night.  Saturday brought us more adventure with a Lacrosse game for Michael (nephew) and a soccer game for Sara (niece).
Saturday night services at Woodman Valley Chapel http://www.woodmenvalley.org/ where they have two campuses synced up via several T1 lines with full audio and video.  The sync is quite amazing considering other models being used for church campuses (video, one way live delivery).  There are two worship groups at each site.  Each worship leader will lead both sites in worship during the service.  They trade offer every other song pretty much.  When the worship leader from the other campus is leading full video is being fed to a large screen in the center to the other campus but the worship band is playing along with the worship leader from the other campus.  Each song is usually started off with a count off by the drummer which sets the tempo and then the musicians and singers have the kick, snare, worship leaders acoustic guitar, and worship leaders vocals in their monitor mix to play along with.  So the end result is live worship at each site with separate worship bands and vocals but one worship leader.  It's quite seamless from the congregation side of things with the two sites even with the 1.5 seconds in latency between them.  Now that all being said, God is good, I worshiped Him.

Sunday, everyone except TJ went to Garden of the Gods.  www.gardenofgods.com  and had a great time by all.

On Monday, we went to Focus on the Family http://www.focusonthefamily.com/ to visit the Odyssey section where Madison, Sara and Will had the opportunity to take part in the recording they do for kids.  If you are not familiar with Adventures in Odyssey http://www.whitsend.org/ it's a kid's radio program put out by Focus on the Family.  The kids had a wonderful time there and it snowed an inch while we where there.  Check out the mp3 file of the recording they did.

We left while it was snowing and by the time we arrived at Garden of the Gods (yes again) it was perfect with that wonderful smell in the air when the sun shines after the rain or spring snow.  When we visit the Parsons again, we hope to spend a whole day in the park.

We have yet to spend any time at any early American history sites but we anticipated this when we planned the trip out.  Things we haven't anticipated so far are ongoing sickness with TJ, lower gas prices (that's a good thing), and such cold weather.  These things we can't control but good attitudes and thankfulness we can.
