We went to the Golden Gate Park and into the Japanese Garden, the arboretum, and the museum. A park attendant was feeding squirrels, which seemed a bit odd.

At an all-you-can-eat restaurant we made pigs of ourselves, and paid the price with rotten guts.  John nearly broke the toilet.

We walked the Golden Gate Bridge, and then crossed to Sausalito but it was a bit of a tourist trap so we returned to Berkeley via Richmond where Maurice let us in to have a wash before going off to the Fillmore to see John Mayall.  The hall was really packed and very smoky. 

On the way back to Berkeley, on the Oakland Bay Bridge, another car ran into the back of us, leaving a dent but no injuries.  The Highway Patrol came along and hauled away the other driver – he was drunk – and helped us straighten out the car.  We arrived back and managed to wake up Dick to let us in – it was about 0400.
