On returning to Bukittingi I managed to grab a shared car ride to Padang . My arrival to Padang coincided the heaviest rain I had seen so far on my travels and didn't do much to impress me on what the main town in the area had to offer. A coastal town which was affected badly by the Tsunami in 2004 although recovering didn't hold much for me and made my way on a 20hrs journey to Bengkulu.
