After two days of travel on the dreaded interstate I have arrived at Roland, Oklahoma. I didn't expect to post a blog entry tonight because nothing in my travels has been of particular note.
However.........., when I registered at the hotel I was told I might hear a siren indicating a tornado warning. Hm. Needless to say, I turned on the TV immediately upon entering my room. It appears that this area is on the outskirts of the area at highest risk, but I will watch the sky and the TV closely. There are some benefits to being a motorcyclist in this situation. My helmet and well padded jacket will be ready for duty in my room if the need should arise.
Within minutes the weather started to deteriorate. Thankfully, nothing major happened around my hotel, but it was certainly eventful enough to get my adrenaline flowing. The following video says it all.
I had to stay an extra day here because the weather was so bad the following day, but then I was off to Arkansas.
