Updated on Dec. 11, 2009

Well, it is just 2 days before we are set to begin Leg 2 of our amazing world travels.  Since returning to the U.S. on August 27 we have spent the past 3 1/2 months on the Maine coast.  The weather was actually seasonably warm and beautiful most of that time.  Over the past two weeks, however, the snow and cold are definitely here.  Time to move on to places where summer is actually happening now.  That means south of the Equator.

So, here is a general idea of our itinary for Leg 2 of our travels.  I have also updated the Leg 1 itinerary with dates and places we ACTUALLY ended up going.  Thanks for following us!!

December 13 - Fly from Bangor, Maine to Las Vegas, Nevada (hopefully we'll win enough to fund the trip:) )

December 20 - Fly from Las Vegas to L.A. and then to Raratonga in The Cook Islands.

December 20 to 28 - Raratonga, Cook Islands

December 28 to January 7 - Aitutaki, Cook Islands

January 7 - Fly from Cook Islands to Auckland, New Zealand

January 7 to February 5 - North Island of New Zealand

February 5 to March 10 - South Island of New Zealand

March 10 - Fly to Hobart, Tasmania via Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

March 10 to 24 - Tasmania

March 24 - Fly to Papeete, Tahiti

March 24 to April 20? - We will stay on the islands of Bora Bora, Moorea, Maupiti, Taha'a and others.

Tentative after April 20 - we may take a cruise back from Tahiti to Vancouver.  Or, we may take another Trans-Atlantic cruise from Florida to Rome.

FLORAC
OK - I'll make the exception and join THIS on-line community so I can keep up with you boys. Wish I was there to take in the natural beauty and scenery. FLORAC sounds like my kind of place. 3 weeks in and 21 weeks to go. :)
