inskip national park
hi guys well we have had a busy few days, and there has been no signal to do the blog,
we left the sunshine coast heading up north of Queensland we passed through Gympie nice town would like to of stayed there but we hadnt time
we were all booked up to go over to Fraser island camping, and you all know how i feel about camping
we left the caravan at Inskip national park which its self is just lovely, there were brumbys wandering around
we were up early packed on our way for 9 am which is early for us
we had to get to the barge, which is on the beach, let the air out the tyres onto the barge it only takes 10 mins, that was it, john was in his high glory, no roads on fraser all 4x4 driving, and he had to pick the camp site right at the other end of the island 75 kms 4x4 driving on the beach waddy piont, got there at 230 pm, we set up camp, no one else around, apart from dingos wandering around, we cooked dinner had a couple of drinks, then the mozzies and midges, oh my god i am not joking when i say i have at least 200 bites, any way enough of me lol
The place is absolutely great we went to champagne pools they were just great to cool down in
a ship wreck called Maheno, eli creek another place to cool down and that was fresh water, went across the island to kingfisher bay massive resort there
we went for a drive to the pub on there which is a trek and a half and can you believe this, it had a sign, no thongs, i said they have to be taking the P... which they were,
i was really impressed with the airplanes just taking off and landing on the beach got some great pics to put on, but all in all it was fab, john just loved it
