Four days in Berlin has definitely changed my mind about Germans for the better. It must just be the drunken, horny ones that scared me in Hamburg. Whatever the case, I'm going to try and pack in a few extra German cities.

This stop was a history lesson to the nth degree (I don't want to hear any comments - I'm wearing the ring and the shirt as I write this). I took a phenomenal free tour, but all I remember is that it was phenomenal. My mind is just too full of sights and historic facts. I'll have to go through my pics to figure it all out again. Honestly, there has just been to much happening in this city over the last century. I wouldn't be surprised if some Berliners were just as overwhelmed as me.

Its weird after coming from Sweden where no one pays for the tram, to watch the Germans. They are the most law abiding people I've ever seen. Some almost take it as a personal offense if you don't by a train ticket (€40 fine if caught - never checked me, but I bought about 75% of the time any ways). It also freaking hilarious though to go up to a crosswalk full of people and just jay-walk through the light. You can see all their heads bob forward as if they wanted to follow you, but then their conscience gets the better of them and they just stand there staring after you. I bet they waste 10 hours a year just waiting for the damn light to change.

For those non-native Montrealers still living in Montreal, I was told by a 'born and raised' to make sure not to buy poutine from a fast-food joint, but to get it from Belle Provence! Just a tip from a local. Dot dot dot. (I'm guessing she's 3/4 monkey - but that was based on her face).

I can never remember what I've said in the past, but if I haven't already offered: if anyone (out of the ordinary that still reads this) wants a postcard, it would be my pleasure to drop one in the mail for ya. Just e-mail me your address. Cheers. Hope alls well on the front.
