I've been travelling for over a month now and have only been in hostels for about a week; however, I already miss the real food and single(?) rooms.

Lucked out here with a room. Arrived on the train at 8:10 PM with no rooms available and the last train to Berlin (my backup plan) leaving at 9:10 PM. Thankyou guide book with phone numbers of hostels.

Hamburg is a one day city unless you're looking for certain things you thought were only available in Amsterdam. No, weed IS illegal here. Although the shear magnitude of window shopping is unavailable, they do have an entrance sign: "MALES UNDER 18 AND WOMEN ARE NOT ALLOWED." Heh.

Finally took advantage being able to buy a drink in a bar, walk outside and leave the glass in another bar. Some things are better in Europe.
