This road trip turned out to be quite a lesson in war history. Figured since we were almost there as it was, we had better check out Flanders while we had the chance. Definitely haven't seen so many graves in my life. We bought a map of the war sights in the area and spent the day on a driving tour. Similar to the D-Day beaches, this tour of the dead turned out to be completely worthwhile.

Especially after seeing this past, it raises a few questions about the current state of world politics. We study history to LEARN from our past correct?
